Edit Shifts

Edit Unpublished Shifts


These are the shifts that have already been pre-created for you. Follow these steps if you need to edit/modify a created, but not yet published, shift. 



Step 1: Click on the Unpublished shifts tab.


Step 2: Find the shift that you would like to modify, and click the “Edit” icon (under “Actions” on the far right):



Note: You are unable to edit multiple shifts at once. If multiple shifts need to be modified, it may be faster to bulk delete and then re-create the shifts. [See article: Create a Shift for more information]



Step 3: Make your adjustments. The most common change will be the start or end time, but you can also change the department (e.g. change drive thru to front counter), restaurant location, or shift date.


Step 4: Click the SAVE button when you are finished.







Edit Published Shifts


These shifts had previously been approved and are posted for bids. If you edit a published shift, please let the CSS team know through the chat or by calling the central support/scheduling number at (901) 422-6337.



Step 1: Click on the Published shifts tab, then select the date of the shift.


Step 2: Find your shift. Scroll all the way to the right and click the “View” icon:


Step 3: At the top right corner of the page, click the orange “Edit” button:


Step 4: Edit the shift, then save your changes.




“I think the restaurant charge amount is incorrect- how do I edit it?”

  • You will not be able to edit the Restaurant Charge field when creating or editing a shift. Please report any inaccuracies in the shift charge calculations to Bite Ninja Support. The numbers are created automatically by the app based on the shift time. If there is an issue, we will get it corrected immediately.


If you are unable to click “Save” (Step 4) or receive an error message when attempting to save your changes:

  • Check to make sure every field is filled in correctly. Each field is required, so you cannot leave any blank. If you are missing any information, you will see red text under the missing field, directing you what to enter:

            

       


If you have checked all fields and they are filled in correctly…

  • If that does not resolve the issue, you can submit a support ticket. If it is time-sensitive, reach out to the CSS team in the app or call our central scheduling/support number at (901) 422-6337.
