Rating Ninjas

If you are logged into your account (on a desktop) OR have a Communication Hub in your kitchen (KCH), you will receive a pop-up prompting you to rate your Ninja when the shift has ended:



Click Rate Ninja, then fill in the fields. If you miss this prompt, follow these steps:




Step 1: Click on Shifts, and then select Past shifts in the orange navigation menu:





Step 2:  Find the shift. If you have other managers or staff rating Ninjas, you can check first to see if someone has already rated the Ninja by looking under “Ninja Rate” for a number. You will be unable to rate a second time. If there is a dash, the Ninja has not yet been rated.

Step 3: Select the shift by clicking the “View” icon (under Actions):





Step 4: At the top right corner, you will see an orange button titled “Rate Ninja.” Click the button, and a window with a form will pop up:



You can rate the Ninja on a scale of 1-5 by selecting the appropriate number of stars. Select any difficulties faced during the shift, and feel free to record any additional comments.



Step 5: Click the submit button. You have rated your Ninja!






“Do I have to rate my Ninjas after each shift? Is it required?”

  • Rating Ninjas is not required, but it is strongly encouraged! The more you rate your Ninjas, the more likely you are to receive Ninjas you have rated highly in the past when they bid on your shifts (and less likely to receive any that you have given low ratings). It also gives you the opportunity to give important feedback, positive or negative, on the Ninjas who work your shifts- allowing us to adjust or improve training procedures, document any issues/complaints, etc.



“Can I give half stars (e.g. 4.5 or 2.5) when rating?”

  • Sorry, you can only select whole stars. Feel free to add additional comments or context in the text box, however.



If you are not receiving a rating prompt after each shift…

  • You must be logged in with an open browser page at the time the shift ends. You will not see the prompt if your Bite Ninja account is not open on your computer screen (or open on a KCH). If your account is open and you are still not receiving rating prompts, please submit a support ticket by clicking here. We are working on implementing notifications for shift ratings, and will let you know when you are able to opt in. 
  • If you usually receive prompts but haven’t for a particular shift, most likely the Ninja forgot to “end” the shift. You can check the Ongoing shifts tab to see if this is the case. If the shift is there, please submit a request for it to be manually ended (the time will also be automatically adjusted). Once the shift appears in the Past tab, you will be able to submit a rating.
