Accessing Your 1099-NEC

Created by Bite Ninja Support, Modified on Thu, 2 Feb, 2023 at 5:23 PM by Bite Ninja Support

If you worked as a Ninja in 2022 and made more than $600, you can expect to receive  a 1099-NEC via email. Please make sure that you are checking the email associated with your Bite Ninja account (the email you used to log into app.biteninja.com).

You will not receive a 1099-NEC if you made less than $600 in the calendar year. You are not required to file a tax return for self-employment/freelance earnings under $600.*

*Please ask a tax professional for more information or assistance with filing a tax return.

Step 1: Locate email

Check your email associated with your Bite Ninja account.

Type “1099” or “1099 Bite Ninja” into the search bar. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder if you are unable to locate the email in your inbox.

The email will come IRS-approved vendor Track1099, from the following address: no-reply@track1099.com

Step 2: Access your form

Retrieve your 1099-NEC by clicking the button in the email, or by copy and pasting the provided link into your browser:

Enter the last 4 digits of your social security number and click Continue:

Click to download the form:

“I no longer have access to the email address that was associated with my Bite Ninja account. What should I do?”

  • Please contact us by submitting a support ticket here, and we will assist you.

“When should I receive my email?”

  • All 1099 forms will be sent by January 31, 2023. If you haven’t received yours by then, please contact us.

If you have followed all instructions above, and are unable to find your 1099-NEC email:

  • The most likely scenario is that you made less than $600 as a Ninja in 2022. If you believe that you made more than $600 and have also checked your spam folder, please reach out to support@biteninja.com or submit a support request here.

If you are unable to open the document after submitting the last 4 digits of your SSN:

  • Please check the recent downloads folder on your device. You may have a pop-up blocker installed that is not allowing the downloaded file to open.
